What if we say that Dubai is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway? This city is considered one of the safest in the world, even compared to such European capitals as London, Berlin, and Paris. Not to mention the fact that the weather here is great all year round. We’ve put together a list of the most interesting places and romantic restaurants in Dubai you should definitely visit.
Burj Khalifa
Afraid of heights? Then, perhaps, it’s time to face your old fears and climb up the highest skyscraper in the world. Entertainment for the boldest begins right after you enter the building. To get to the observation deck, located on the 125th floor, you need to ride a high-speed elevator: it will lift you to a height of 452 meters in just a minute.
Arabic cuisine restaurant Logma
If you’re looking where to have a romantic dinner in Dubai, be sure to visit this restaurant of national Arabic cuisine. It’s here that rich guys spend evenings with their Russian brides. Here, you’ll understand why local dishes are among the best in the world. The restaurant is located in the Boxing Park area. At first glance, its menu consists of the usual European dishes, but with oriental flavor – seasoned with spices and delicious sauces.
Spice Market
Stock up on rare spices at Spice Souk bazaar in the old part of the city. Walk between narrow rows with sacks full of all kinds of flavored spices and bargain with local merchants.
Dubai Food Festival
Starting from February 25, the Dubai Food Festival is taking place in Dubai, where 30 restaurants in the city create a special tasting menu that consists of three dishes. This is a great opportunity to visit the venue granted with several Michelin stars and try the dishes by famous chefs.
Dubai Shopping Festival
Well, maybe shopping isn’t one of the most romantic things to do in Dubai, but you should still experience it. In winter, Dubai hosts a shopping festival, during which, all the central malls offer large-scale discounts. In addition, if you make a purchase worth 130 dirhams in one of the stores, you automatically become a contender for the main prize of the festival – a gold ingot weighing 1 kilogram.
Ski Dubai in Mall of Emirates
Dubai has everything you can think of, so if you’re feeling like snowboarding or skiing in the city with the average summer temperature of 93 ºF, go to the Mall of Emirates. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary shopping complex with the usual entertainment. But in fact, in addition to the standard set of entertainment, the Mall of Emirates offers a real snow slide for fans of winter activities. You can even dive and swim in the pool with real penguins that live next to the slide.
Madinat Jumeirah Resort
One of the best Dubai beaches is located in the resort of Madinat Jumeirah, where you can not only enjoy a relaxing massage right on the beach but also make a couple of photos against the famous Dubai Burj Al Arab hotel.
Tortuga restaurant and bar
Tortuga is one of the best romantic restaurants in Dubai. Those, who love the exotic cuisine, will appreciate the menu and entourage of the restaurant, which is also located on the territory of Madinat Jumeirah. First, most dishes from the menu are cooked right before your eyes. And don’t forget to try local Margarita – here, bartenders have fifteen different recipes of it. In addition, there’s a special atmosphere created by Mexican music performed by a true Latin American band.
Talise Spa
Madinat Jumeirah has one more attraction – the Talise Spa center. Here, you can fill out an individual guest card, and the staff will pick individual massage program for you. And the list is more than impressive, starting from traditional Thai and Balinese massage to a unique massage with warm seashells that completely relaxes your muscles.
Wild Wadi Water Park
Want to see the city from a bird’s eye view? Then you should visit the largest water park in Dubai – Wild Wadi, located next to Madinat Jumeirah. On its territory, you’ll find more than 30 slides to everyone’s taste.
