Jennifer Connelly is in talks to join the cast of high-octane action sequel Top Gun 2 over at Paramount Pictures, so reports The Hollywood Reporter.
If she signs, she will join the likes of Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer and Miles Teller in the planned film, which is set to start shooting in San Diego in September. Connolly will play the movie’s female lead, a single mother who runs a local bar near the Navy base.
Joseph Kosinski is directing the film, while Jerry Bruckheimer returns to produce.
Kosinski and Connolly recently worked together on the film Only The Brave.
Top Gun 2, which may not be its final title, will release in cinemas next summer.
