She’s appeared in some pretty big movies in the last year or so – Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman being two of them, and now Disney have reportedly offered Zendaya the role of The Little Mermaid in their forthcoming live-action movie.
The Hashtag Show reportedly has a source close to the studio who says that the ex-Disney Channel star has been offered the role of Ariel in the planned movie, just one of the Mouse House’s multiple live-action reworkings of some of their biggest animated films.
Mary Poppins Returns director Rob Marshall is directing, while Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda are teaming to compose the music for the film.
Disney and reps for Zendaya declined to comment to the outlet.
