First Look At The New ‘Star Wars’ TV Show, Which Has Just Started Shooting

Here’s an impressive first look at the planned Star Wars TV show that has just started shooting. Jon Favreau, who has been developing the series, revealed that filming is off and running and that the series will be titled The Mandalorian. Take a look at this:

Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) is reportedly helming the first episodes, while additional episodes will be directed by the likes of Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

The series will reportedly cost around $100 million for ten episodes, so each one will have a whopping $10 million. We’re in for quite a treat.

There’s no specific release date set for the Star Wars TV series as yet, but we’re hearing that it will head straight to the Disney on-demand service which is due to launch in 2019 – so there’s quite a while to wait yet.
