As part of the New York Comic Con celebrations, the new trailer for Star Trek: Discovery, which goes out on Netflix in the UK, has been debuted online. Ten years before Kirk, Spock and the Enterprise, the USS Discovery discovers new worlds and lifeforms as one Starfleet officer learns to understand all things alien. With the new trailer comes confirmation that the show will return to screens in the US in January. Expect the UK showing shortly afterward.
Here’s the plot:
STAR TREK: DISCOVERY follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series features a new ship and new characters while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
