We have been promised it since the weekend, and now we can indeed deliver the new trailer and poster for Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel, the new stand-alone Marvel movie due for release in 2019.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.
The film features an amazing cast, including Brie Larson as the title character, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, Annette Bening Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct.
The date for your movie diaries is the 8th of March 2019, a couple of months before the hugely anticipated ensemble sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, a follow-up that is still untitled. There are rumours that we might see the trailer for that movie later this week. We’ll obviously keep you posted.
