Production has reportedly commenced on Free Guy, an adventure-comedy from 20th Century Fox starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Shawn Levy. Shooting in Boston, the film co-stars Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Taika Waititi, Joe Keery, and Utkarsh Ambudkar.

FREE GUY tells the story of a lonely bank teller who discovers he is actually a background character in the open-world videogame Free City.
Levy’s creative team includes director of photography George Richmond (Rocketman), Emmy Award winning editor Dean Zimmerman (Stranger Things), production designer Ethan Tobman (Room) and costume designer Marlene Stewart (Night at the Museum).
The expected release date for the film is July 2020. The very first image – a selfie by Reynolds himself – was shared from the set just yesterday. See it above.
Reynolds can currently be seen/heard in the Detective Pikachu movie, which is now playing.
