YouTube

According to reports online yesterday a reboot of Look Who’s Talking is on the way from Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems. The original movie was released thirty years ago this year with John Travolta and Kirstie Alley leading the cast and the voice of Bruce Willis serving baby Mikey.

The film was directed by Amy Heckerling and revolved around a baby named Mikey’s whose thought we can hear. Travolta played a working class taxi driver while Alley played the single mother of Mikey. The film grossed nearly $300 million when it was released – from a reported $7 million budget – and spawned a couple of sequels and a TV series.

Jeremy Garelick (The Wedding Ringer) is writing and directing a new version, which will ber ‘a version that will allow for a diverse cast,’ so says the trade blog Deadline.

No news on when to expect the new movie, but we’ll keep you posted.
