It has been announced that a host of family classics are up for the reboot treatment over on the new Disney + streaming platform. Home Alone, Night At the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper By the Dozen are the four titles set for a redo, so reports Deadline.

The trade says that Disney chief Bob Iger revealed that the four properties would be  “reimagined” for “a new generation.”

It seems like it is early days in terms of them making it to the screen, but the new Disney streaming service is set to roll out from this coming November. Other Marvel and Star Wars projects including the original series The Mandalorian are set for the platform which hits on 12th of that month.

Home Alone was released back in 1990 with Macauley Culkin as the kid left at home by his family at Christmas having to fend off a duo of local thieves (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). Night At The Museum was a superb trio of movies led by Ben Stiller set in a magical museum that came to life at night, while Cheaper By The Dozen was a Steve Martin starrer about a family with twelve children. Both of the first movies in the franchises were helmed by Shawn Levy. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid was the most recent of the titles to be released, back in 2010 based on the popular children’s novels written and illustrated by Jeff Kinney.

We’ll bring you more info as we get it.
