Walter Hill’s ’80s Actioner ‘Red Heat’ Is Getting The 4K Blu-ray Treatment

Here’s something to brighten up your early Friday, some big news about an upcoming 4K Blu-ray release for the 1980s Arnold Schwarzenegger starring, Walter Hill-directed actioner Red Heat. The film is coming to the HD format in October, according to an official release.

A mutually uneasy alliance is formed between the stern Captain Ivan Danko of the Moscow Police and his American equivalent, the Chicago Detective Art Ridzik when the latter captures Viktor Rostavili, a dangerous Georgian drug kingpin. With his partner murdered by Viktor’s hands, Ivan lands in Chicago to extradite the crime lord back to Russia. However, when he manages to escape, a frenzied chase in the bustling downtown begins. In the end, to bring down the ruthless criminal, the two reluctant comrades who are worlds apart have to put their differences aside.
