A Bee Gees Biopic Is Reportedly In Development

Paramount Pictures are reportedly looking to bring a Bee Gees biopic to screens. The news come via Deadline who report that the film is in active development with Graham King amongst those behind the project. The rights were snapped up by the studio and those memorable songs, that include the likes of Saturday Night Fever, Night Fever, How Deep Is You Love and many more will be able to be used in the planned movie.

The Bee Gees hailed from Manchester, England and sold a whopping 220 million records all over the world. They were behind the famous Saturday Night Fever movie soundtrack, one of the best-selling of all time. The band, made up of the brothers Gibb, Barry, Maurice and Robin, were active from the 1950s and changed their sound over the decades that followed, constantly changing with trends in music. They also collaborated with many internationally renowned artists, including Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand and Diana Ross.

Maurice sadly passed away in 2003, and Robin died back in 2012.

The project is currently seeking a writer. GK Films and new production outfit Sister are behind the film.
