We have a new look at the upcoming The New Pope, the second series in the run that started with The Young Pope. The new season is set to drop in January with Jude Law returning, along with John Malkovich for the new series.
All nine episodes of The New Pope are directed by filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino. The limited series is written by Sorrentino with Umberto Contarello and Stefano Bises, and marks Sorrentino’s second limited series set in the world of the modern papacy.
Also amongst the cast are Silvio Orlando, Javier Cámara, Cécile de France, Ludivine Sagnier and Maurizio Lombardi. New cast for the limited series are Henry Goodman, Ulrich Thomsen, Mark Ivanir, Yuliya Snigir and Massimo Ghini. Sharon Stone and Marilyn Manson guest star.
Look out for The New Pope in January 2020 on HBO, NOW TV or Sky Atlantic depending on your location.
