null

The first trailer for Richard Stanley’s festival favourite Color Out Of Space has been posted online. The film will roll out into cinemas from next year and is the first dramatic feature film that Stanley has directed since 1992’s Dust Devil. Nicolas Cage leads the cast, alongside Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight, Josh C. Waller, Q’orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong.

Here’s the official synopsis: After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a living nightmare.

The link above will take you to our review. We saw the film back last month said that it is ‘full of fantastic CGI, wonderfully staged practical effects – some very gory creature-like towards the end which’ll have you wincing away from the screen – and well worth your time and effort. Just keep a very open mind.’ By that, we mean that it is a little ‘out there’. ‘As the very tough-laced, almost incomprehensible plot unfolds, one can’t help but think that it runs out of steam by the end,’ our review stated.

Take a look at the trailer and see if what you think.
