The next series of Doctor Who has been teased in a new promo for the show. The sci-fi drama returns to our screens in the new year with Jodie Whittaker as the legendary doctor for another run of adventures across time and space.

Doctor Who series 12 will see the return of Whittaker in her second season run, alongside returning characters Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Graham (Bradley Walsh). Stephen Fry and Sir Lenny Henry will also appear during the ten episode run.
With the new trailer comes the announcement that season 12 will start airing on the BBC on 1st January in a two-part special written by showrunner Chris Chibnall. The double episode is titled ‘Spyfall’, according to reports.
