1. Elf (2003)

This movie has given rise to some of the best inspirational quote mugs with dialogue that can leave an audience in splits. Heart-warming and joyous, it is going to get you in the spirit of Christmas in no time. Watch out for Will Ferrell’s brilliantly awkward performance as the tall, slightly goofy elf.

2. Iron Man 3 (2013)

Okay, hear us out here. While this may not sport all the markers of a typical Christmas movie, it does rework the narrative of A Christmas Carol. Tony Stark’s hilarious and daring shenanigans are a must-watch for all Marvel fans.

3. Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010)

Never associate horror with Christmas, they said. But this movie single-handedly dismantled all out stereotypes about Christmas movies with its epic storytelling and brilliant effects. It deals with mythical Finnish creatures associated with Christmas and is sure to give you holiday chills.

4. Arthur Christmas

If you haven’t watched Arthur Christmas in your childhood, you’ve hardly grown-up. The deliciously light-hearted animation will fill your heart and soul with festive joy, and definitely leave you craving more and more.

5. Krampus

7. Joyeux Noel (2005)

The movie reminds us of the morals at the root of the holiday season- peace and goodwill. Setting these values in the backdrop of one of the most tragic wars in human history was a brave and sincere decision- one that was put to good effect.

8. The Grinch (2018)

Watching The Grinch on Christmas day is a household staple. This year, you could switch things up with this 2018 version that expands the characters’ storylines even further. As you would expect, it is delightful through and through.

9. The Polar Express (2004)

This touching Christmas movie will fill you to the brim with happiness and appreciation, and it’s a really good movie to watch with your entire family. The amazing cinematography is honestly a cherry on the icing.
