Finding Steve McQueen, a new film described as a heist comedy is set for digital download in the UK from November. This is the first I have heard of the movie, but it has a great cast that includes the likes of Travis Fimmel (Raised by Wolves), Rachael Taylor (Jessica Jones), William Fichtner (Armageddon) and Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland). Ghost Rider helmer Mark Steven Johnson is behind the camera for this one, and we can share the Finding Steve McQueen trailer with you below.
Now, some people may be screaming – this is out already – and you’d be right as the film already released Stateside back in 2019, but it looks like it is rolling out to further territories now. The plot revolves around a gang of thieves who plan President Nixon’s secret political fund.
Here is the the official synopsis for the movie: Based on the true story of the Youngstown mob, President Richard Nixon, the FBI, and the biggest bank heist in US history! In 1972, a gang of likeminded thieves plan a heist to steal $30 million in illegal campaign contributions from the President’s secret fund.
Initial reviews look mixed, but I personally like the look of this and am keen to check it out for myself. The Finding Steve McQueen trailer, which was posted all the way back in February 2019, is below. The film will be released through The Movie Partnership, the UK distributor on digital download wherever you get your movies in the UK – it will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sky Store, Sony, TalkTalk, Virgin, Rakuten & BT – from 16th November.
