Here’s a new trailer for a sci-fi movie that has been available on various formats in various territories for a little while now. Prospect is a sci-fi movie starring The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal, alongside the likes of Jay Duplass, Sophie Thatcher, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand, and Anwan Glover. It originally had a debut at the SWSW festival in the US in 2018, and then rolled out in some areas a little after that. The film has been hailed as the best sci-fi since Moon, and we’re intrigues. It has just debuted on Netflix Stateside and can be rented on Amazon in other territories. Zeek Earl & Christopher Caldwell write and direct.
Synopsis: A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon, aiming to strike it rich. They’ve secured a contract to harvest a large deposit of the elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon’s toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive. Forced to contend not only with the forest’s other ruthless inhabitants, but with her own father’s greed-addled judgment, the girl finds she must carve her own path to escape.
