‘Riding With Sugar’ – new Netflix film gets a trailer

Written and directed by Sunu Gonera.

Netflix has delivered a trailer for a film that they will drop at the end of this month, Riding With Sugar. This brief promo doesn’t reveal too much about the movie, but it has us intrigued nonetheless. The feature is about a young refugee who is looking for a different future under a charitable mentor, but then fate steps in and challenges his BMX racing dreams. It arrives on Netflix on 27th November.

Netflix doesn’t have too much more in terms of a synopsis, but we do have this from the YouTube page which hosts the trailer: When his dreams crash into reality, a young Joshua needs to make a decision, one that will rewrite his wrongs or prove his fate right.

Amongst the cast are Charles Mnene, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, and Simona Brown. The film is directed by Sunu Gonera, helming from his own screenplay. It is reportedly a feature version of his short of the same name which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. Looking forward to checking this out.

Take a look at the new promo courtesy of the streamer below, and catch the film on Netflix from the 27th of this month.
