Netflix has released the full trailer for the upcoming French-language series Lupin which is set to debut on the streamer in January. Omar Sy leads the cast of the heist thriller as French author Maurice Leblance’s iconic Arsène Lupin. Inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, gentleman thief Assane Diop sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family. Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme, Nicole Garcia, Hervé Pierre, Soufiane Guerrab, Antoine Gouy, Fargass Assandé, Vincent Londez and Shirine Boutella round out the cast.
As a teenager, Assane Diop’s life was turned upside down when his father died after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. 25 years later, Assane will use “Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar” as his inspiration to avenge his father.
