Alfred Molina, Andrew Garfield, and more reportedly set to return to ‘Spider-Man’

A whole bunch of Marvel alumni are reportedly returning for another Spider-Man adventure. Various outlets are reporting that Alfred Molina will return to the role of Doctor Octopus in the third movie in the current Spidey flicks with Tom Holland. Spider-Man 3, which will start shooting soon, will be released in cinemas at the end of next year. Collider is also saying that Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, and Jamie Foxx will all reprise their roles from the previous Spider-Man movies, and Tobey Maguire too, is said to be in talks to join them. Emma Stone is also in talks to reprise her role of Gwen Stacey.

Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Marisa Tomei are amongst the returning cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Jon Watts will direct once again.

Obvioulsy there are no major plot details as yet, but we’re assuming that the movie will be going the route of the animated Spider-Man: Into The SpiderVerse with multiple Spider-folks all uniting. Benedict Cumberbatch will also feature in the film as Doctor Strange ahead of his return to the Marvel world as the character in a direct sequel to the first Doctor Strange adventure. Sam Raimi , who helmed the Maguire Spider-Man movies, will be directing that one.
