Here’s the trailer for an interesting-looking Netflix documentary titled The Minimalists: Less Is Now, which is coming to the streamer very soon.
The film follows longtime friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus who share how our lives can be better with less. It is directed by Matt D’Avella.
Here’s the official synopsis for the feature: The film’s title was inspired by the popular maxim “Less is more,” popularized by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886–1969), who used this aphorism to describe his design aesthetic; his tactic was one of arranging the necessary components of a building to create an impression of extreme simplicity. The Minimalists have reworked this phrase to create a sense of urgency for today’s consumer culture: now is the time for less.
The film arrives on Netflix on NewYear’s Day – which is such a perfect date for a film like this. I look forward to seeing it.
