Amazon Prime Video has dropped the latest trailer for the upcoming comedy sequel Coming 2 America, which they will release early next month exclusively on their streaming platform. Eddie Murphy is back as Prince Akeem with Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha, and Bella Murphy also starring.
The trailer shows that most of the action may be taking place in Akeem’s homeland – but I could be wrong, of course.
Here’s the synopsis: Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.
Craig Brewer directs from a screenplay by Kenya Barris and Barry W. Blaustein & David Sheffield. 5th March is the date for your calendars.
