Coming 2 America will be with us in less than a months’ time after Amazon Prime picked up the movie from Paramount late last year. The film sees Eddie Murphy return to the role of Prince Akeem in the sequel to the ’80s classic. During last night’s big game, a new TV spot was released for said movie, adding to the two trailers that we’ve already seen.
Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.
The film will be available on March 5th on Prime Video. Murphy stars alongside Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones. Also starring John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha, and Bella Murphy.
