Out on digital fromn today and then DVD from 5th April is the historical epic Emperor which tells the story 19th century freedom fighter, Shields “Emperor” Green (Dayo Okeniyi). The film is co-written, co-produced and directed by Mark Amin who I caught up with to chat about his new film.
Emperor revolves around a man fighting to free his family and bring an end to tyranny. Shields Green fights his way north, joining forces with abolitionist John Brown for a daring raid on Harper’s Ferry, helping to alter the course of American history in the process.
