Altitude has dropped a new clip from the incoming, BAFTA-nominated Minari, which has already delighted audiences at film festivals all over the world. Steven Yeun (Burning, Sorry To Bother You, The Walking Dead) leads the cast of the film, which will land on demand and virtual cinemas in the UK and Ireland from 2 April, and then in drive-in cinemas from 12 April and cinemas as they reopen.
The film has been nominated for six BAFTA Awards, including Best Director, Best Film in a Foreign Language, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, following its recent wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. The film had its World Premiere at 2020 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and has garnered critical acclaim and praise from audiences for its vivid and transformative storytelling.
A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, Minari follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother. Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, Minari shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.
