Eddie Murphy: Laugh ‘Til It Hurts, a new feature-length biography from Legacy Distribution, which reminds us that Eddie Murphy single-handedly saved ‘Saturday Night Live’ during his time as a cast member from 1980-1984, has arrived on Amazon Prime Video. Laugh ‘Til It Hurts features interviews with experts who declare that the show would not have survived, nor been what it is today without Murphy.
In the years since his departure, Murphy has been named by such ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast members as Chris Rock and Tracy Morgan as their number one inspiration. Eddie Murphy’s return to the show as host in late 2019 became the highest watched show since 2008. Despite having his share of flops and failures, compounded with a Hollywood prostitute scandal, he has shown his ability to turn his career around and has cemented himself as one of the greatest comedians of all time.
We have a trailer for the film in the player below.
