Mads Mikkelsen joins the cast of ‘Indiana Jones 5’

The film is set for cinemas in the summer of 2022.

A little bit of amazing casting now – really excited for this. Mads Mikkelsen has joined the cast of the fifth Indiana Jones movie, so reports Deadline. The actor, who most recently starred in the awards magnet Another Round, and who will next be seen in Riders of Justice, will join the already cast Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the sequel which is being directed by James Mangold.

Composer John Williams is also returning to the franchise to score the next movie, which is as yet untitled.

Lucasfilm has confirmed that the film will be released in the summer of 2022, specifically on 29th July of that year.

Steven Spielberg is on board as a producers, steping aside from directing duties to make way for Mangold. MIkkelsen also has the third Fantastic Beasts sequel which is currently in production where he plays the part of Grindelwald.
