‘Last Night In Soho’ trailer hits; New Edgar Wright movie is coming this October

Lighting up cinemas in October.

The Last Night In Soho trailer has finally arrived. The latest from Edgar Wright will land in cinemas finally this coming October, and Universal Pictures has shared the first proper look at the film from the hugely talented British director.

Last Night In Soho trailer

Wright, who is behind the likes of Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, of course, has two movies due in cinemas this year, kicking off with his wonderful Sparks documentary The Sparks Brothers, which arrives this summer. He’ll follow that up with Last Night In Soho in October and we are liking what we are seeing so far. The trailer gives off a very Hitchcockian vibe, massive retro feel, and what looks to be great work from both Thomasin Mackenzie and Anya Taylor Joy.

Wright wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

Here’s the synopsis followed by that Last Night In Soho trailer for your viewing pleasure.

Edgar Wright’s psychological thriller about a young girl, passionate in fashion design, who is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it appears, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences…

Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Michael Ajao, and Synnøve Karlsen are also credited amongst the main cast.

Love the look back at the Soho of old, 1960s London brimming with that swinging vibe of the time. This is going to be exceptional and I’m pleased it has finally got itself a release date after being delayed from last year. Will it turn up on the festival circuit, prior to its Halloween release?

Last Night In Soho is scheduled for release in the UK on 29th October, with the US getting it a week earlier on the 22nd, and looks like it is absolutely perfect viewing for Halloween, a real treat.
