Hot on the heels of its release in cinemas and on Disney+, various trade papers are reporting that a sequel to Cruella is already in the works at Disney. Variety says that the project is in the very early stages of development at the studio.
The trade reports that both director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara are both set to return to their respective roles for the planned sequel, but it is not known as yet as to whether Cruella herself Emma Stone will return.
Cruella got some pretty strong reviews and was released simultaneously in cinemas, where open, and also onto the Disney+ platform under the premium access feature.
