Ahead of its world premiere in France next month as part of the 2021 official selection at Cannes, a trailer for the anthology film The Year Of The Everlasting Storm has arrived for your viewing pleasure. The inclusion in this year’s slightly delayed annual gathering in the south of France was confirmed this past week.
The Year Of The Everlasting Storm features short films from some of world cinema’s best filmmakers; Jafar Panahi, Anthony Chen, Malik Vitthal, Laura Poitras, Dominga Sotomayar, David Lowery, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
The film is described as a love letter to cinemas, and its storytellers. It captures this unprecedented time on film as we slowly emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic.
