Sundance film ‘The Nest’ starring Jude Law set for release this August

The film originally premiered at Sundance 2020.

Sundance 2020 film The Nest starring Jude Law and Carrie Coon has been confirmed for an August release through Picturehouse Entertainment, according to an official release. With it cam a brand new trailer for the movie, which we’ve posted below.

The film comes to the screen from Sean Durkin, the filmmaker behind the superb Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene.

The synopsis: Rory (Jude Law), an ambitious entrepreneur and former commodities broker, persuades his American wife, Allison (Carrie Coon), and their children to leave the comforts of suburban America and return to his native England during the 1980s. Sensing opportunity, Rory rejoins his former firm and leases a centuries-old country manor, with grounds for Allison’s horses and a stable. However, all is not as it seems and soon the promise of a lucrative new beginning starts to unravel and the couple have to face both the secrets and unwelcome truths that lie beneath the surface of their marriage. 

Adeel Akhtar and Anne Reid. make up some of the supporting cast. August 27th is the exact release date for this one.
