Trailer for Amazon Prime Video documentary feature ‘Val’ about Val Kilmer lands

Coming to Prime Video in August, folks.

Amazon Prime Video has debuted the trailer for the Cannes-bound documentary feature Val, which focusses on actor Val Kilmer and his multiple-decade Hollywood career. The movie will premiere at this year’s festival, which kicked off in the south of France this very day.

For over 40 years Val Kilmer, one of Hollywood’s most mercurial and/or misunderstood actors has been documenting his own life and craft through film and video. He has amassed thousands of hours of footage, from 16mm home movies made with his brothers, to time spent in iconic roles for blockbuster movies like Top Gun, The Doors, Tombstone, and Batman Forever. This raw, wildly original and unflinching documentary reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled, sometimes hilarious look at what it means to be an artist and a complex man.

Big fan of the man, and look forward ti seeing this when it lands on Prime Video as we’ll sadly not be on the Croisette this year.

Val will premiere on Prime Video on 6th August following a brief showing in cinemas from 23rd July.
