Ahead of its world premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, which is in-progress in the south of France, here’s the first trailer for Ari Folman’s new animated feature Where Is Anne Frank? Folman is, of course, the director of the acclaimed Waltz With Bashir, so expect this to score well on the continent following its premiere this week.
In the film, ‘Kitty, Anne Frank’s imaginary friend to whom Anne devoted her diary, magically comes to life in present-day Amsterdam. Kitty sets out on a relentless quest to find Anne Frank. It’s the beginning of an adventurous journey.’
The film screens out of competition, screening tonight (9th July), so expect reviews from critics lucky enough to be on the Croisette to land shortly after its red carpet debut.
