Watch a new trailer for the superb ‘Language Lessons’, directed by Natalie Morales

Here’s a new US trailer and poster for the upcoming ‘platonic love’ drama Language Lessons, a film we caught at this year’s Berlinale. I loved this movie and cannot wait to see it again, preferably on the big screen. It will start to roll out in some territories in just a couple of months time.

When Adam’s (Mark Duplass) husband surprises him with weekly Spanish lessons, he’s unsure about where or how this new element will fit into his already structured life. But when tragedy strikes, his Spanish teacher, Cariño (Natalie Morales), becomes a lifeline he didn’t know he needed.  Adam develops an unexpected and complicated emotional bond with Cariño—but do you really know someone just because you’ve experienced a traumatic moment with them? Bittersweet, honest, and at times darkly funny.

My thoughts on this film were as follows:

A simple, though effective love story – minus the love – that will warm your heart, move you to tears and ultimately uplift you during its tight 90 minute running time.

My full review is here.

Shout will debut this one in North American from 10th September, but there’s no visibility at present of a UK release. We’ll keep you posted.
