Focus Features has offered up a first look at celebrated filmmaker Paul Schrader’s next film, The Card Counter, which will land in cinemas later this year. Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan and Willem Dafoe line up amongst the main cast of the movie.#
The crime movie is described as a revenge thriller and tells the story of an ex-military interrogator turned gambler haunted by the ghosts of his past decisions. The film will premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in September, and then get a swift release, at least stateside, on 10th September.
Schrader directs from his own screenplay.
