Thanks to technology and brilliant game developers, we can now relive some of our favorite movies. You can immerse yourself into the role of the character by playing video games.
Perhaps you would like to save Middle-earth from Sauron, or you want to fight like a Jedi, maybe you want to tame some dinosaurs. With love for movies, adventure, and entertainment, it is easy to understand why there are so many games based on movies.
Games inspire some movies and series, for example, the much anticipated Witcher series. In this article, we look at some of the games that are based on movies.

Marvel’s Avengers
We all know and love Marvel movies; the action and adventure in each movie are enough to spur you into action. After watching your favorite Marvel movie, who wouldn’t want to be a superhero with the ability to rescue the world?
The Marvel Avengers game is loosely based on the Marvel series, not in terms of the storyline but by borrowing some of your favorite characters. You can play Thor, Hulk or Black Widow, and so many other characters in this action-packed game.
The game is an action-packed single-player game in which you should finish the campaign in about 20 hours. It is—however, a great game to play repetitively.
Star Wars Games
The Star Wars movies have been a fan favorite; if you consider yourself a true geek, then you have seen the film not once but multiple times already.
Through the years, the game developers have created various Star Wars inspired games; not all of them were necessarily great, but there are a few that you should try out.
The first game that you should try is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In this game, you will fight as a Jedi, and yes, that means that you will have a lightsaber and the force with you. Any true Star Wars fan’s dream!
Another Star Wars game that you can try is Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic. Once again, you will be a Jedi, but this time your quest is to overthrow Darth Malak. There are numerous other Star Wars games that are worth a look at; just make sure to do your research before investing in a game.
Jurassic World Evolution
Frontier Developments gave us the great Jurassic World Evolution game that is inspired by the Jurassic Park movies. You might think that you will play a first-person shooter game on the hunt for dinosaurs in this game, but that is not the case.
The simulation game gives you a refreshing take on managing a dinosaur park. You can create your dream dinosaur world by building the perfect park. Keep your visitors entertained, and look for some new dino fossils.
Sometimes you will have to tame a few dinos that got out of hand, but you should be able to master this game in no time.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War
For all our Lord of the Rings fans, there is a game as well. The Lord of the Rings movie series took the world by storm, and as with all things, everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Game developers have tried numerous times to make great Lord of the Rings games, but few succeeded.
However, two games that you can give a try are Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. In both of the games, you play the character Talion. He is a ranger who is infused with the spirit of the elf lord Celebrimbor. Your goal, of course, is to stop Sauron’s plans.
Golden Eye 007
Our beloved James Bond, 007 would, however, shine on a movie list. It feels as if he can walk into any place and demand whatever he wants. He would walk into a casino for a Martini and walk out with a ton of cash, or maybe he has moved with the times and will make his own luck online where many new casinos even offer deposit free money. The bottom line is this guy is fantastic and should feature in a game.
So, in 1997 Nintendo 64 released the Golden Eye 007 game. It is a split-screen shooting game in a deathmatch arena. At the time, the game was amazing, but today, you might not feel too excited to play the game.
In Conclusion
There are numerous games based on movies; not all of these games received the same success as their movie counterparts. However, some of them did very well for themselves and honestly represented the movie it was based on.
With the movie industry not stopping soon and the constant technology improvements, you can be assured that numerous games can still be developed. It is an exciting time for both industries.
