Here’s a brand new trailer for the upcoming Best Sellers, a film that actually played at the Berlinale back in March. Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza lead the cast of the feature which will premiere through Screen Media from 17th September (VOD and cinemas). A UK release has yet to be announced though.
Here’s the synopsis:
Lucy Standbridge (Aubrey Plaza) has inherited her father’s publishing house, and the ambitious would-be editor has nearly sunk it with so many failing titles. She discovers that she is owed a book by Harris Shaw (Michael Caine), a reclusive, cantankerous, booze-addled author who originally put the company on the map decades earlier. In a last-ditch effort to save the company, Lucy and Harris release his new book and embark on a book tour from hell that changes them both in ways they didn’t expect.
Sounds good. I’ve not heard too much about this since its debut on the festival circuit but I’m intrigued to give it a watch when it hits these shores.
