A new trailer has dropped for one of my most anticipated of 2021, The Sopranos spin-off prequel movie The Many Saints Of Newark which is due to hit screens later this month. The cast includes Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Michael Gandolfini, Billy Magnussen, Michela De Rossi, John Magaro, Ray Liotta and Vera Farmiga and focusses on the events before the multi award-winning HBO series The Sopranos.
Amongst the many awards it garnered during a six season run were 21 Primetime Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and two Peabody Awards. This film is set in the explosive era of the Newark riots, when rival gangsters began to rise up, challenging the all-powerful DiMeo crime family’s hold over the city.
The Many Saints Of Newark is getting a cinema release and will also land on HBO Max for 30 days stateside and other territories where it may be available. 22nd September is the date for your diaries.
