Some big news from within the British film industry as it has been revealed British action film Renegades is heading to November’s online AFM (American Film Market) with international sales agency, Blieberg. What’s more, the full cast has been revealed and it is quite the line-up. Daniel Zirilli is directing the likes of Nick Moran (Avengement), Lee Majors (The Fall Guy), Danny Trejo (Machete), Louis Mandylor (Debt Collectors) and Ian Ogilvy (We Still Kill The Old Way) in the film, alongside Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2), Billy Murray (Rise of the Footsoldier), Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Nemesis), Michael Paré (Hollow Point) Paul Barber (The Full Monty), Stephanie Beacham (Dynasty) and Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister (The Fifth Element) who sadly passed away shortly after completing work on the film. Renegades sees a group of Special Forces veterans come together to avenge a fallen comrade: a former green beret, who is murdered in London by a ruthless drugs gang.
The film’s screenplay is by Tom Jolliffe based on a story by Jolliffe and producer Jonathan Sothcott. It is the second production from Shogun Films following last year’s Nemesis.
Shooting on Renegades took place in London this summer and also in the US .

We’ve worked hand in glove to create a solid commercial partnership in which Renegades will be the first of many together.”

I’ve made many action films, but the level of acting talent, story and beautiful locations, puts Renegades on the next level for me. Thanks to Jonathan and Shogun films for continuing to bring quality elements together. We are just getting started shooting our slate, and I’m very proud of what we have accomplished so far. I had a blast directing Renegades, and I believe the audience will too.”

The film was financed through a combination of private equity and from Samahoma Media Advisors who negotiated finance from Insight Media Fund. Executive Producers include Bob Clarke and Gareth Jones.
