‘Dune: Part Two’ already on the move over at Warner Brothers

The film is set for release in October 2023.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, filmmaker Denis Villeneuve has revealed that the second part in his Dune saga is already moving at pace. Dune: Part One is playing in cinemas and on HBO Max and has already grossed a respectable $300 million and growing and just about a week ago, a second part was confirmed by the studio to hit cinemas exclusively in 2023.

Well, it seems that work has already begun as the director revealed in the interview.

“The good news is that a lot of the work has been done already regarding design, casting, locations and writing. So we’re not starting from scratch.”

It’s not a long period of time, but I will try to face that challenge because it’s important for me that the audience sees ‘Part Two’ as soon as possible. It’s not a sequel where it’s another episode or another story with the same characters. It actually has direct continuity to the first movie. It’s the second part of the big, huge movie that I’m trying to do. So the sooner the better.”

Dune stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem an, of course, is the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name.

Well bring you more news on the second part as soon as it becomes available. More at the end of the link above.
