New trailer for ‘A Journal For Jordan’ from director Denzel Washington

Sony Pictures has released a brand new-look trailer for A Journal For Jordan, the Denzel Washington-directed, and Michael B. Jordan starring drama coming to screens in the new year. Virgil Williams wrote the screenplay for the film. It will arrive on screens on 22nd January.

Charles Monroe King (Michael B. Jordan) and Dana Canedy (ChantŽ Adams) in Columbia Pictures’ JOURNAL FOR JORDAN.

The story is as follows:

A JOURNAL FOR JORDAN is based on the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King (Jordan), a soldier deployed to Iraq who begins to keep a journal of love and advice for his infant son. Back at home, senior New York Times editor Dana Canedy (Chanté Adams) revisits the story of her unlikely, life-altering relationship with King and his enduring devotion to her and their child. A sweeping account of a once-in-a-lifetime love, the film is a powerful reminder of the importance of family.

Chanté Adams and Jalon Christian are also amongst the main cast for the film which is based on the memoir A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor by Dana Canedy.

The film will open slightly earlier stateside with Christmas Day being its debut date.
