It looks like ‘Dune: Part Two’ will start shooting next July

We’re seeing some reports that say that Dune: Part Two is looking to shoot next July (2022). Specifically, the 18th July is the date revealed to be the very first day of principal photography. The news was first reported by Collider who spotted reporter Josh Encinias’ comments on social media that a producer confirmed the filming date at a recent Q+A.

That would fit in with the timeline for the planned movie as it already has a release date set for October 2023.

Dune: Part One is still playing in cinemas and has so far, at the time of writing, taken a whopping $331 million in box-office receipts. Not bad considering it has onky been on general release for a couple of weeks and is playing in some territories on HBO Max.

Obviously, this hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Brothers. Pre-production continues on the project.

More news as it comes our way.
