Over the weekend, news broke that legendary actor Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods) has reportedly joined the cast of the upcoming Blade movie over at Marvel Studios. He will join the already cast Mahershala Ali who will play the title character in the upcoming movie, which is gaining traction and heading towards shooting.
Directing the new movie for the studio is Bassam Tariq, who wowed with his superb Mogul Mowgli with Riz Ahmed back last year. His big studio debut will see him direct the big-budget affair from a screenplay by Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
Shooting is said to be off and running early next year and be wrapped for the summer.
As well as Da 5 Bloods, Lindo recently appeared in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall, and in TV series The Good Fight.
