‘Deep Water’ with Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas reportedly heading to the streamers

It was reported last week that Deep Water, an ‘erotic thriller’ led by Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas, had its theatrical release pulled from the schedules. It now looks like it will land on the streaming services.

Deadline reports that the film will land on Hulu stateside and Prime Video internationally after originally being set to roll out in cinemas from the middle of January.

Adrian Lyne directs the thriller which the IMDB says revolves around a ‘well-to-do husband who allows his wife to have affairs in order to avoid a divorce. He then becomes a prime suspect in the disappearance of her lovers.’

Sounds pretty decent. The reason for it to be pulled seems to be due to the performance of similar adult-themed films theatrically. They are, however, finding audiences on the streamers.

Affleck was most recently seen in Ridley Scott’s superb The Last Duel, while De Armas turned in a brilliant performance in the 25th James Bond movie, No Time To Die (pictured).

No word on when Deep Water will land on your TV screens as yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
