Some big news in terms of a big name actor playing a big name from yesteryear as Deadline reports that Chris Evans is apparently set to play Gene Kelly in a new movie conceived by the actor.
The film is set up with John Logan writing the screenplay. The trade has a brief synopsis, which is as follows:
The film is about a 12-year-old boy who works on the MGM Lot in 1952 and begins to create an imagined friendship with the legendary movie star Kelly while working on his next film.
Evans will co-produce the project with Mark Kassen, and Rian Johnson’s and Ram Bergman’s T-Street Productions.
