Some casting news, specifically concerning Josh Hartnett who has reportedly joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next film, Oppenheimer. Deadline reports the news that Hartnett will be joining the already cast Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, and Rami Malek in the exciting project which will start shooting later this year.
The film will be drawn from the book ‘American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer’ by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, and will be written and directed by Nolan. A July 2023 release date has already been set.
Hartnett has a busy 2022 with a role in Guy Ritchie’s February released Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre and the Sky TV series The Fear Index (pictured above).
Oppenheimer is set up at Universal Pictures.
