Signature Entertainment has released a new UK trailer for A Banquet, a film that they will release in the territory, we believe, in March of this year. The film has played at both the London and Toronto film festivals where word was very positive.
Justin Bull wrote the screenplay for the film with Ruth Paxton directing. Sienna Guillory, Jessica Alexander, Ruby Stokes, Lindsay Duncan, Kaine Zajaz and Richard Keep make up the principal cast.
The synopsis for this one is as follows:
Widowed mother, Holly (Sienna Guillory: Resident Evil franchise, Luther), is pushed to breaking point when her daughter Betsey (Jessica Alexander) develops an extreme eating disorder. She claims she has experienced a profound enlightenment where her body is in service to a higher power. Possessed by Betsey’s illness, her family are faced with an agonising dilemma, torn between love and fear, and Holly is forced to confront the boundaries of her own belief.
