Deadline is reporting that not one, but two sequels to last year’s action epic Red Notice are on the way. The first film was a huge hit for Netflix on the platform towards the end of 2021 – one of the streamers biggest ever – and it looks like two more are heading our way from the same filmmakers.
The trade reports that writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber is to write and direct the two follow-ups, with shooting set for 2023, both movies to be filmed back-to-back. Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds are all reportedly set to return, along with new additions to the cast to create an Ocean’s Eleven-type feel to proceedings with a larger ensemble of A-listers.
No official word from Netflix as yet, but you can read more at Deadline at the end of the link.
