It looks like there might be another Quantum Leap TV series on the way. This is far in the distance, but news has reached us that a pilot has been ordered to reboot the beloved series that starred Scott Bakula and the late, great Dean Stockwell.
Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, co-showrunners of La Brea have been tasked to write and executive produce the new version of the original show, which was about Dr. Sam Beckett who was stuck in a time loop where he would be transported into the body of a person from within his lifetime. Each episode would see him leap into a new body where he had to figure out a task so that he could leap once more, all the while hoping that his next leap would be the leap home.
The new project is set-up over at NBC where we hope it’ll get a series order once the pilot is complete.
