A third film in The Equalizer series is potentially on the way with lead Denzel Washington reprising his role as Robert McCall once again. Antoine Fuqua is also reportedly in talks to return for the planned third outing, which looks like it might start shooting quite soon.
Washington has been out and about promoting the release of The Tragedy of Macbethm which is released on Apple TV+ from today.
Speaking with Collider, the actor said: “They have written the third Equalizer, so I’m scheduled to do that. So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again. The tragedy of Macbeth and then going and beating some people up. Can’t get any better, right?”
I think that the two ‘Equalizer’ movies we’ve seen so far have been quite solid and they have brought in some good returns at the box-office, too. A third movie is most welcome.
